I welcome motivated, independent students who enjoy exploring questions in ecology and evolutionary biology using invertebrates as study systems. For more information, send me an email with your CV.
I work closely with beginning students to help them establish feasible thesis projects that fit their career goals. After 2-3 years of training, students are encouraged to reach independency and eventually become experts of their research topics. Some general research themes in my lab are:
In addition, students who are interested in working with me through the Museum & Field Studies (Master program) are also welcome to contact me for an initial inquiry. |
Postdocs |
The Li lab is interested in using multiple marine invertebrate-algal symbiotic systems to study the genetic and molecular mechanisms behind the host-symbiont nutrient exchange process.
If interested, please email me a single PDF including: i) a motivation letter explaining your research interests and qualifications, ii) your CV, iii) contact information of three references. Email me if you have any questions. |
undergraduate STUDENTs |
My lab welcomes undergraduate students who are interested in invertebrate biology, marine science and evolutionary biology. Students can volunteer on ongoing projects, work for credits, or develop their own mini projects with the PI. It is recommended that you have some background knowledge of general biology, ecology and evolutionary biology. Email me for an initial inquiry.
